In a world in dire need of some hard truths, we, the few, the proud, offer honest critiques of art, fashion, building and culture in SL. You may not like us. You may even hate us. Because we're the bloggers you deserve, the ones you need right now. You will hunt us, because we can take it. We're not your hero. We are guardians, watchful protectors. Dark knights of truth in a sea of never ending nonsense.

Welcome to the Crusade
There is, within Second Life, an amazing array of creators. Artists, fashion designers, builders, and scripters congregate in this virtual land of plenty to create things of beauty, creations that inspire awe and wonder in the viewer. Unfortunately, there are those out there receiving high praise for work that is, at best, substandard. They are the C and D students of SL, and no one has the heart to tell them they need to work harder, do better, or just plain stop and find something else to do.
Over the coming weeks, months, maybe even years, we'll go through Second Life and find these people, these stores, galleries and performers. We will offer a real critique of your works. We won't pull our punches, and we sure as heck won't get on the bandwagon of the yes men telling you how amazing you are. We're not trying to be mean. On the contrary, we're trying to tell the truth that people in SL are too scared to tell you. Maybe, your painting isn't as good as you have been lead to believe. Maybe your texture making abilities are really sub par and you need to step up your game. Maybe your photographs are sophomoric at best. Or, maybe you have stopped progressing, and your work stagnated in 2009 and you really need to step back and let someone else come to the forefront of the market place.
We are people tired of praise being thrust upon those who are far less capable than others who are out there creating right now with hardly a glance in their direction. We will do our best not only to give hard looks at the people in the spot light, but to try to bring into the spotlight the people who aren't in it, and should be. As this blog progresses, we will travel through the highest and lowest places in SL to find the best and the worst. Your comments and opinions will be welcome, indeed, even desired. A healthy and open discussion of your real opinions and criticisms is sorely lacking in Second Life. If we can start such truthful discussions, then our work will not have been in vain. Join us in our crusade of truth and quality in our virtual world.
